NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – CITY OF SWAN, VACATE ALLEY BETWEEN HAWTHORN AND HILL
Notice is hereby given that the Swan City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday April
28th at 6:45 pm at City Hall 104 Church Street, Swan IA 50252 on the proposed vacation of the
alley in the block between Hawthorn Street and Hill Street.
Pursuant to Iowa Code 354.23(1), a city or county may vacate part of an official plat that has
been conveyed to the city or county or dedicated to the public which is deemed by the governing
body to be of no benefit to the public.
Notice is further given that the city council intends to act and vote to vacate the alley by
resolution in accordance with Iowa Code Section 354.23.
